Neagra Bison Reserve

Neagra Bison Reserve, located in the commune of I. L. Caragiale, near the village of Vlădeni, Dâmbovița County, is a place where nature and wildlife blend harmoniously. This reserve, part of a project to reintroduce bison to Romania, offers a rare opportunity to see these majestic animals in their environment.

Bison, which can weigh up to 1,000 kilograms, are often seen feeding or interacting in groups. The atmosphere is soothing, and the sounds of nature enhance the experience. Additionally, besides bison, the reserve is home to other wildlife species, such as deer and wild boars, making it an ideal spot for nature photography.

Besides the Neagra Bison Reserve, the village also offers other tourist attractions, such as the wooden church “Saint Archangels Michael and Gabriel,” built in the 18th century.
