The Cart with Puppets

The Cart with Puppets, located on Nicolae Bălcescu Boulevard in Pipera (Voluntari), is a sculpture that pays tribute to Romanian traditions. This artistic work, created by Romanian sculptor Mihai Doru Găină, was inaugurated in 2016 and quickly gained appreciation from locals and tourists alike. The sculpture depicts a cart filled with colorful puppets, each playing a specific role in the life of the Romanian village.

Beyond its artistic value, The Cart with Puppets is a symbol of Romanian rural culture, evoking childhood memories and traditions that, unfortunately, are fading in the face of modernization. Visitors can observe the details of the sculpture, from the cheerful expressions of the puppets to the decorative elements that reflect folk crafts. Surrounding the sculpture, there is a small park, ideal for a relaxing stroll or taking photographs.
